As the only all-Black\, all-women unit deployed overseas during World War II\, these trailblazing service members took on an enormous mission: to sort and deliver a multi-year backlog of millions of letters and packages destined for American soldiers. \nIn this talk\, Preserving Our Soldiers’ Stories\, we explore how the Six Triple Eight brought hope and connection to troops across Europe while overcoming racism\, sexism\, and the challenges of wartime service.
