Book preface:
Edna McEwen Ellis came to Arizona September 10, 1929, with her husband the late George B. McEwen, who died February 12, 1959, and their son Jack McEwen who died January 17, 1990.
Upon advice of Phoenix doctors they located on the desert. SUNNY SLOPE having electricity and being close to Phoenix where they could find employment, was the area they chose.
Edna’s work was in the field of Accounting. In July 1964 Edna McEwen E. D. “Bus’ Ellis, private owner of a Maytag Commercial Distributorship. Regardless of where Edna lives, she says her roots are in the desert sand of SUNNY SLOPE.
